cara's troubled pony

I began this photographic project in January 2008, partly as a means of trying to rein in my tendency to produce very eclectic imagery, but also as a way of trying to express ideas through images, using inanimate objects as models. So what is this work actually about ? I guess if

I'm completely honest I’m really not sure, though a common format is emerging which I think will probably stay with the work as it evolves, namely - inanimate objects as mentioned, split images, a sense of narrative and a use of rich textures, these seem to be the main criteria that I'm using when deciding whether a particular piece of work fits the CTP ‘style‘. I'm not really too keen to analyse beyond that, I've often found work can very easily become so over burdened with analysis that actually producing work becomes very difficult, making the whole point of analysis rather self defeating as there is now, consequently, no work to analyse.

Anyway getting back to the point, I hope you will enjoy the content of this site and if you'd like to leave a message in the 'Little Notes' area please feel free to do so.

Thank you for visiting CTP.
